The Wrangler 4xe marked Jeep's first step into electrification. For 2024, this midsize PHEV SUV continues to excel off-road and remains the only plug-in hybrid vehicle that you can drive without a roof or doors. While its iconic 7-slot grille has received some updates, the vehicle's timeless appearance remains unchanged. Exciting new features include the Power Box, which includes four 120-volt/30-amp outlets. Inside, there's a new dashboard featuring the Uconnect 5 multimedia system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto come standard.
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe comes in six four-door versions and offers a choice of nine colors (except High Altitude). These versions include Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, High Altitude, and Rubicon X, with MSRPs ranging from $62,385 to $85,655. All 4xe models share the same powertrain, consisting of an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Selec-Trac full-time 4x4 system (Rock-Trac starting from Rubicon), and three engines. The internal combustion engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder producing 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Supporting it are an electric motor with 134 hp (100 kW) and a 44 hp motor/generator. In total, the vehicle boasts 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. It offers an electric-only range of 35 km thanks to a 17.3 kWh Li-ion battery, which can be charged in 2 hours using the optional 240V charging station. The Wrangler 4xe can achieve a total range of over 590 km.
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe provides the joy of immersing oneself in nature. With the Sunrider soft top, optional removable Freedom Top hardtop, or optional Sky One-Touch electric roof, along with a fold-down windshield and removable doors, the experience is complete. The 4xe qualifies for clean energy rebates in Quebec ($5,000) and Canada ($2,500). In terms of warranty, it offers 3 years/60,000 km for the vehicle and 8 years/160,000 km for the high-voltage battery. Roadside assistance is available at all times.
