2024 RAM 1500

The 2024 RAM 1500 full-size pickup continues to impress in terms of power and handling. Thanks to its coil-spring suspension, it’s not only one of the most comfortable pickups but also one of the most maneuverable. With optional air suspension, plush workmanship and an immense cab (CrewCab), the RAM 1500 will certainly hang on to all of its fans.

For 2024, the diesel engine no longer figures among Stellantis’ plans. On the other hand, the Hurricane engine, a turbocharged inline-six, should arrive shortly, as usual. If the RAM Classic doesn’t return in 2024, clients of the leading brand will be able to choose from a selection of eight different versions, with MSRPs ranging from $54 thousand for the Tradesman to $123 thousand for the TRX.

At the wheel of a 2024 RAM 1500…

All versions of the 2024 RAM 1500 avail of a virtually soundproof, well-appointed cab. Already ergonomically superior, it now features an improved driving position. Onboard technology is noteworthy, with an available advanced Uconnect 5 NAV system equipped with a 12-inch touchscreen, head-up display, RAM Connect apps, 4G WiFi access, an available 19-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound audio system and more.

When it comes to safety, the RAM is also a champion, as it includes, among other features, a 360-degree camera system, six airbags distributed throughout the cab, 14.9-inch disc brakes and a digital rear-view mirror with an LCD screen linked to a rear-view camera. All of the usual driver assist technologies are there, as well.

A veritable workhorse

For users seeking a solid work vehicle, the 2024 RAM 1500 won’t disappoint on that front, either. On the base models, the 3.6 L eTorque V6 puts out 305 horsepower and 271 pound-feel of torque, with a tow rating of more than 11,000 pounds, depending on the selected drivetrain and cab type. With the 5.7 L eTorque HEMI V8, it can deliver 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the maximum towing capacity increases to 12,750 pounds. You should also be aware that eTorque technology adds several dozen pound-feet of torque on takeoff and that the TRX version features a 6.2 L V8 (702 hp/650 lbf·ft).
