2024 Chrysler Pacifica

2024 Chrysler Pacifica

There will be a special anniversary edition of the Chrysler Pacifica for 2024. It represents an occasion for the inventor of the minivan—or “Autobeaucoup,” as they once called it—to mark its 40th birthday.

In addition to this special edition, the details of which are currently unknown, Chrysler (now Stellantis) is offering the 2024 Pacifica in Touring, Touring-L, Limited and Pinnacle versions. As has been the case since the arrival of the Pacifica on the market eight years ago, a plug-in hybrid powertrain is available (in two different configurations).

In terms of its silhouette and mechanics, the Pacifica remains unchanged for the 2024 model year. However, it will be available in two new colors: Red Hot and Baltic Gray. At the top of the line, the exceptionally luxurious Pacifica Pinnacle will now offer the option of a Sepia toned cabin.

The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica: still available in a hybrid

The 2024 Chrysler Pacifica is synonymous with roominess, versatility and a comfortable ride. There’s enough room to seat eight occupants, with nearly 4,000 liters in potential cargo volume. All versions, including the popular Touring-L (which offers a wealth of equipment for the money), feature outstanding ergonomics.

In the internal combustion model, the 2024 Pacifica relies on a 2.6 L V6 Pentastar engine producing 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The accompanying transmission is a nine-speed automatic. Meanwhile, all-wheel drive is optionally available.

In the plug-in hybrid configuration, two electric motors and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) work together with the V6 engine, offering improved torque. The 16 kWh lithium-ion battery provides a range of approximately 50 kilometers without using even a drop of gasoline. In hybrid mode, fuel economy is 8.0 liters per 100 kilometers. You should note that the hybrid Pacifica models are front-wheel drive and that they qualify for government rebates.

Safety and connectivity

For 2024, the Chrysler Pacifica comes standard with the Uconnect 5 multimedia interface on all versions. Additionally, it’s available with all of the usual current driver assist technologies, more and more of which come standard as the trim level increases. You’ll also find the Emergency Vehicle Alert System (EVAS) technology. This system, which is unique to Stellantis, alerts the driver as to the presence of nearby emergency vehicles and potentially hazardous situations.
